Defender: Jamal Lewis (£2.9 million)
One of Norwich’s more impressive performers in their rout away at Liverpool, Lewis has an abundance of talent as an attacking full-back. Daniel Farke’s team push Lewis and Max Aarons high and wide and the pair notched up 10 assists between them in the Championship last season. A home game against Newcastle should offer Lewis ample opportunity to bomb forward. Liverpool exposed some defensive flaws, but Newcastle looked quite toothless against Arsenal so there could be a home clean sheet.
Midfielder: Nathan Redmond (£3.8 million)
Although listed as a forward, Redmond is one of Southampton’s primary attacking threats. It may seem an odd move including a Southampton forward against an imperious Liverpool team, but the European champions conceded more shots against Norwich than in any home league match across the whole of last season. They were also fortunate not to concede more than two across 120 minutes against Chelsea in the Uefa Super Cup, a sapping penalty shoot-out win in the heat of Istanbul on Wednesday night. Southampton may not have enough to beat them, but long-haul exertions could make it very interesting.
