Borussia Dortmund have joined the clubs monitoring Mauricio Pochettino, who will be one of the most in-demand managers in football when he decides to return to the game.
The Argentinian, 47, was sacked by Tottenham three weeks ago but is expected to have a host of offers as jobs become available.
Dortmund are the latest club to track Pochettino following his work at Spurs where he finished in the top four of the Premier League in each of the last four seasons, while bringing through young homegrown players.
Pochettino also has admirers at Manchester United and has previously been considered at Old Trafford.
Arsenal also want a manager in Pochettino’s mould as they step up their search for Unai Emery’s successor following his dismissal at the end of last month.
Pochettino has also been discussed at Everton as Marco Silva’s successor, although clubs with Champions League football may provide a more tempting route back into management.
