Jihadi Jack’s parents beg for him to be returned to UK after seeing him in Syrian jail

The British terror suspect known as “Jihadi Jack” is reportedly being held with dozens of Isil prisoners in a Syrian jail.

Jack Letts, 23, was seen lying on the floor wearing an orange jumpsuit in footage broadcast on the US network CBS last week.

The Muslim convert from Oxfordshire, who has been stripped of his UK citizenship after travelling to the Middle East to join Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, was identified by his parents.

His mother Sally Lane told The Mail On Sunday: “It’s worse than my worst nightmares.”

She added: “If there is evidence he has committed a crime, then bring him home and put him on trial, and if he is guilty, send him to prison.

“But he has been in this limbo for two-and-a-half years with no end in sight.”
